The Greatest Wedding Photo Ever Taken

Like DJ Khaled (We the Best!) slurpin’ serotonin, I’m full of superlatives these days. Greatest catch ever, another greatest catch ever, and now … the greatest wedding photo ever taken? Well, peep the image here) and tell me that the background lighting don’t just blow your mind. And it was snapped with a regular ol’ digicam, to boot. Amazing.

Yet Another ‘Greatest Football Catch Ever’!

I know I pimped out another amazing football catch a few weeks ago, but I think Chadron State WR Isaac Stockton’s recent grab is even more impressive than the one I posted previously. I’m just amazed that his head stayed attached to his body. Definitely worth a peep.

Blake Schwarzenbach and Aaron Cometbus Have Formed a Band That Might Just Be Called Thorns of Life!

Fans of Jets to Brazil and Jawbreaker (most definitely including yours truly) have finally found their Blake Schwarzenbach fix sated. As tumbl’d forth from the pages of Young Manhattanite:

HOLY FUCKING SHIT, Blake Schwarzenbach and Aaron Cometbus are in a new band, possibly called Thorns of Life? And the bassist is transgender Max from The L Word?? And she was part of the Gilman Street scene and played in The Gr’ups??? Consider my world thoroughly rocked. More info/links at Unlikely Words.

I’m pretty much speechless. This is the best news ever. 2008 rules.

Worth Watching: “The Story of Stuff” With Annie Leonard

What’s one to focus on now that the next four years are settled? Well, while I’m sure I’m way behind the curve with this (in fact, if I could rename this site anything, it would probably be “waybehindthecurve.com”) Annie Leonard’s “The Story of Stuff” might give you a few ideas. Despite the video’s vague “UPS whiteboard” feel, it simply, yet intelligently, breaks down the challenges we all face in a consumerist society. Definitely worth watching.
